Barbara V. Johnson

Barbara V. Johnson graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1988. From 1988-1993 she was an associate with the Law Office of Betty Read. Since April of 1993 Ms. Johnson was a solo practitioner until her two children, Donya Johnson and Don Johnson Jr. joined the firm. Barbara V. Johnson has over thirty-five years experience in Family Law, founded Johnson Family Law P.C. and is currently the President of the corporation. Education: Ms. Johnson has a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from UNM Law School. During law school she competed nationally on the Moot Court team and was a member of the Women's Law Caucus. Professional services and Organizations: -Served on the Child Support Guideline Review Committee. -Served on the Alimony Guideline Committee. -Served on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico State Bar, Family Law Section, Continuing Legal Education and Legislative Committees. -Served as Chairperson of the Family Law Section. -Served as President of the New Mexico Women's Bar Association. -Served on the State Bar of New Mexico Committee on Women and the Legal Profession. -Served on the Board of Directors for the Albuquerque Women's Resource Center.
